ARK's new Chief Executive Officer

Last month we shared the news with you that our current Chief Executive Officer, Jane Gray, has decided to retire. Jane will be stepping down from her role at the end of January 2019.

Jane Gray

As Jane’s successor, we are delighted to announce the appointment of ARK’s new Chief Executive Officer, Bobby Duffy, who will take up post on 1st February 2019.

Bobby is well known within ARK and has served in the role of Director of Care & Support for almost 5 years.  An internal appointment has resulted in a very smooth transition for the organisation. Bobby’s depth of knowledge in Social Care and Housing Services is highly regarded in the sector and, to complement that, his leadership style and values are very much aligned with those of ARK. We are delighted that we have appointed the right person to continue to take the organisation forward, with ARK’s values at the core of everything we do.

We wish to thank the people we support, our tenants and our employees, who were involved in the recruitment process led by ARK’s Board of Management and Chairperson, Graham Mitchell. Congratulations to Bobby and we wish you great success in the Chief Executive Officer role!

The Board of Management and everyone at ARK would also like to thank Jane for her commitment to ARK and for everything she has delivered within the organisation and the wider sector. Jane has tremendous passion for social care and she has navigated ARK through some very challenging times whilst keeping the values of the organisation at the heart of everything. Jane’s legacy to ARK is the strong person centred culture she has worked to develop and she will be missed by us all. Jane has led ARK to a position of strength despite the challenges of the sector, and we are incredibly fortunate to have had over 15 years of leadership from Jane.

A sincere thank you from us all, Jane. We wish you a wonderful retirement and all the very best!
