Broomhouse Support Workers

2 x 37 hours contract
1 x 20 hours contract

Our Broomhouse service is growing! We are looking to expand our team to deliver a brand new package of Care & Support.

You will be joining our amazing team of experienced Support Workers at Broomhouse who will be able to guide you through your induction and training.

Our Broomhouse Service currently supports 6 people with a variety of support needs. Our supported people need anything from a few hours a week support with their finances up to 24 hour a day support. The majority of the people supported by Broomhouse Service live within 1 block of flats with 2 supported people supported in their own tenancies in the local community.

Our new Care & Support Package is a 24 hour a day service so sleepovers will be part of your rota. A sleepover shift consists of working 12 noon - 11pm, a rest period sleeping over in the service from 11pm - 7am and then working in the morning from 7am - 12:30. The sleepover is over and above your contracted hours and gets paid as an additional payment of £87.20 per sleepover.

There are great transport links to Broomhouse service with a tram stop nearby. Lothian buses 22, 21 and 2 all stop within just a couple of minutes walk from the service. The nearest train station at Edinburgh Park is just a 6 minute bus journey away.

'The best thing about working at Broomhouse is that you are making a difference in peoples lives giving them a better quality of life. If you are working with someone and at the end of the day you can see a smile on their face then you know you are doing your job properly. A smile form a supported person can make your day.' - Magda, Care & Support Manager, Broomhouse
